Yttriumoxide
YttriumoxideYttriumoxide, ook bekend als yttriumoxide, is een uitstekend mineralisatiemiddel voor de vorming van spinel. Het is een luchtstabiele, witte vaste stof. Het heeft een hoog smeltpunt (2450 °C), chemische stabiliteit, een lage thermische uitzettingscoëfficiënt, een hoge transparantie voor zowel zichtbaar (70%) als infrarood (60%) licht en een lage afsnij-energie van fotonen. Het is geschikt voor toepassingen in glas, optica en keramiek.
