UrbanMines Tech Limited was established in 2007, initially focusing on the recycling and management of rare metal and metalloid waste. After more than a decade of sustained development and strategic transformation, the company has evolved from a resource recycling enterprise into an advanced materials technology company integrating research and development, production, and sales. Its product portfolio encompasses a wide range of rare metals, rare earth oxides, and high-purity compounds, providing critical material support to global high-tech industries.

The company established its headquarters in Hong Kong, initiating operations in the recycling and management of rare metal and metalloid waste. The name "UrbanMines" reflects the company's green philosophy of recovering valuable resources from urban waste streams, underscoring its commitment to sustainable resource utilization.

The establishment of a Shenzhen branch marked a pivotal transition from recycling to materials manufacturing, with the commencement of OEM production and sales of metal oxides and salts, including antimony, bismuth, tellurium, indium, and tungsten.

A joint venture was formed in Anhui Province to establish a pyrite processing plant, launching operations in mineral and powder processing. In November of the same year, the company joint invested in a zircon sand and enriched concentrate processing facility in Zhangzhou, Fujian, further strengthening its presence in the mineral processing sector.

A joint venture compound manufacturing facility was launched in Chongqing, dedicated to the research, development, and production of high-purity oxides and compounds of strontium, barium, nickel, and manganese. This milestone signified UrbanMines’ full entry into the rare metal compound manufacturing domain.

The company initiated OEM production and sales of oxides and metal salts of rare earth elements, including europium, erbium, and yttrium, officially entering the rare earth materials market and expanding its product offerings.

A joint venture plant for rare earth metal salt compounds was established in Sichuan, focusing on the processing and R&D of cerium- and lanthanum-based materials. This development completed UrbanMines’ strategic transformation from recycling to high-end materials manufacturing, solidifying its expertise in rare metals and rare earth compounds.

The shareholders' meeting resolved to expand the product line by introducing an OEM production system for high-purity oxides and compounds of lutetium, neodymium, aluminum, boron, beryllium, and zirconium. In the same year, the company signed an industry-university-research technical cooperation agreement with the School of Materials Science and Engineering at a renowned Hong Kong university, enhancing its capabilities in research and development and quality assurance.

The company further extended its product portfolio by adding OEM production capacity for high-purity oxides and compounds of cesium, cobalt, lithium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, thorium, titanium, and vanadium, reinforcing its comprehensive supply capabilities in the field of advanced materials.
